KING, VIRGINIA W.

Virginia W. King, age 80, of 710 Altavista Ave., died Friday, May 18, 1990. She was born in Bedford County on May 14, 1910, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Lee Parker Wills and was the widow of Willard King. Mrs. King worked as a nurses aide at Bedford Memorial Hospital and in Charlottesville. She was a former member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Bedford. Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Frasher, Dayton, Ohio; sons, Albert King of Williamsburg; James E. King of Bedford; Bobbie King, Salem; sisters, Beulah Mitchell, Charlottesville; Rubye Baumgardner of Arlington; Eleanor Martin of Vinton; brother, Frank Wills, Palmyra; a daughter-in-law, Kathy King of Salem; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Teague Chapel by the Rev. Richard A. Whitaker. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Longwood Cemetery, Bedford, with the Rev. Howard K. Talley officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home, 2260 Ivy Rd., Charlottesville. Memorials are suggested to your favorite charity.
