SCHOFIELD NAMED USAIR PRESIDENT

Seth E. Schofield will replace Edwin I. Colodny as president of USAir on June 1.

Schofield, who was most recently executive vice president for operations for USAir, will also hold the title of chief operating officer.

Colodny will remain as chairman and chief executive of USAIR and as chairman and chief executive of USAir Group, the airline's parent firm.

In assuming his new duties, Schofield will retain his positions as vice chairman and executive vice president of the USAir Group.

Schofield joined USAir in 1957 and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility with the airline.

As executive vice president-operations he was responsible for flight operations, flight attendant services, maintenance and engineering and USAir Express activities, as well as USAir subsidiary Pacific Southwest Airmotive and USAir Group subsidiary Piedmont Aviation Services.

A native of Staffordsville, Conn., he resides in Arlington where USAir has its headquarters.
