Roxie Phillips Simpkins, 81, died Saturday in a Shawsville nursing home.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann Turpin and Nelva Turpin, both of
Christiansburg; Opie Cox, York, Pa.; three sons, Glen Simpkins, Baltimore,
Md.; Willard Simpkins, and Robert Simpkins, both of Christiansburg;
twenty-three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel
with the Rev. Earnest Fulcher and the Rev. Kenneth Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the DeVilbiss Funeral
Home.
