WEEKEND FIRE CLOSES ARLINGTON COURTHOUSES

General District and Circuit courts in Arlington County were closed Monday following a weekend fire that caused $2.5 million in damage at the courthouse complex.

The blaze broke out about 4 a.m. Sunday when water leaking into a fourth-floor records room sparked an electrical fire, said Arlington County Fire spokesman Lt. Steve Hynson.

The fire was confined to the fourth and fifth floors of the courthouse. It was brought under control in about an hour, Hynson said. No injuries were reported. - Associated Press
