PROJECTS ADD ANTI-DRUG CLAUSE TO RENTAL TERMS

The Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority will send out notices to its tenants this week that it plans to add stringent anti-drug clauses to their leases.

The authority also intends to prohibit the possession of weapons on its property, including guns, knives and martial arts fighting sticks.

Tenants, meanwhile, are preparing to fight the proposed changes, which also include a 150 percent increase in security deposits, from $40 to $100. - Associated Press
