OBIT ARTHUR, A.

Mrs. Annie Powell Arthur, age 86, of Roanoke, died Monday, May 21, 1990. She was the widow of Charles Davis Arthur, a member of Belmont Baptist Church, and was retired from the Roanoke City Schools Cafeteria Department. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine A. and Ken L. Gauldin; one son and daughter-in-law, James Edward and Jean Chisom Arthur, all of Roanoke; one brother, Roy Powell, Fincastle; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 1990 with the Rev. Dr. Thomas S. Cribb officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
