20-YEAR-OLD GIVEN TWO LIFE TERMS FOR ROBBING AND KILLING ROOMMATE

A 20-year-old man was sentenced to two life terms after pleading guilty to robbing and killing his roommate.

Brian Ross, 20, admitted Monday that he and a friend killed Adam L. Rowe, a 22-year veteran of the Navy, and stole Rowe's paycheck to cover the rent.

As part of the plea agreement, Ross was sentenced to the two life terms for the Dec. 1 slaying.

According to authorities, Ross and Larry Eugene Wimmer Jr., 18, of Chesapeake, shocked Rowe 20 times with a stun gun, strangled him with an electric cord, and buried the body in the backyard of the house they rented.
