SALUTE TO TOURISM KICKING OFF FESTIVAL

The seventh annual Salute to Travel and Tourism will be held June 11 at 7 p.m. at the John Fox Jr. House and Gardens, with a reception and entertainment serving as the kickoff for the 1990 Best Friend Festival.

Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, will be the keynote speaker. The program, sponsored by the Travel & Tourism Committee of the Wise County Chamber of Commerce, promotes regional tourism as a means of economic development.
