BRIDGE ON U.S. 221 TO BE SINGLE LANE

A repair and resurfacing project on a bridge over Beaver Dam Creek on U.S. 221 in Floyd County will restrict traffic to one lane on the bridge until Aug. 15.

The State Transportation Department said the restriction would start today 6.7 miles south of the town of Floyd.

The department said traffic will be controlled with signals and some delay can be expected.
