ADVOCACY GROUP ELECTS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS

George W. Sanderson of Roanoke has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Center for Independence for the Disabled.

Other officers are Sharon Myers of Troutville, vice chairman; Steve Brandt of Roanoke, treasurer; and Pattie McKinney of Bent Mountain, secretary.

Directors of the board include Suzette Epperley, Carter Garrett, Harriett McClung, Ed McCurdy, Roger "Terry" Winborne, Judy Jackson, Edwin McGrath and Mark Phelps.

The center is a private, non-profit, non-residential program that provides services to people with disabilities and their families.
