Gordon Henry (Tump) Mayo Sr. age 63, died Thursday in a Salem hospital. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Bowers Mayo; three sons, Gordon Mayo Jr.; Dennis Mayo; and Roger Mayo; one daughter, Glenna Hypes, all of New Castle; two brothers, Ralph Mayo, New Castle; Clyde Mayo, Hampton; two sisters, Laura Price and Mary Ruth Tripp, both of New Castle; and nine grandchildren. Funeral will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
