FERRUM'S BURCHER ON ALL-AMERICA SQUAD

Ferrum's Heath Burcher is a third-team NCAA Division III All-America selection in baseball for the second consecutive year.

The senior designated hitter batted .333 with 14 home runs and 45 runs batted in. He led the Dixie Conference in homers and also holds the Panthers' career record of 29.

Burcher helped lead Ferrum (28-9) to a share of the Dixie Conference regular-season title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional, where he was an all-tournament selection. - Staff report
