OBIT WALKER, C.

Claire Price Walker, age 83, of 4902 Grandin Road Ext. died Tuesday in a Roanoke hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walker and two children. Surviving are two sons, Paul Douglas Walker and wife Barbara, Roanoke; William Telle Walker and wife Joan, Pine Bluff, Ark.; one daughter, Eugenie Walker Rees, Roanoke; four granddaughters, Jackie Claire Rees; Debbie Rees Smith and husband Daryel Smith, Roanoke; Vicki Mari Allen, Cleveland, Ohio; Lori Anne Miller and husband Alvin of Germantown, Tenn.; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Howard Peters and the Rev. James DeFoe officiating. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
