HOW WILL MERGER HELP VALLEY GROW?

THE MAJOR reason we hear in favor of consolidation, in fact the only reason, is that we need it to ensure future economic growth. Not one person has explained how combining the two governments will help bring new business to the Roanoke Valley. Is it just pap?

Please ask the people of Henrico or Chesterfield counties how consolidation with Richmond would bring them faster economic growth. Who would dare be so stupid?

I ask the same question: How will it bring faster growth to Roanoke? Will someone please spell it out for me, because I just can't seem to grasp that argument. Thank you so much. FRANK F. ELLIS III ROANOKE
