OBIT WOOD, D.

Doris Evelyn Wood, formerly of Roanoke, died May 24, 1990, at her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was born September 5, 1908, in Hinton, W.Va., to the late Daniel C. Wood and Margaret Jackson Wood. She was retired from the Department of Interior in Washington, D.C. She is survived by a sister, Edith Wood Foltz of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Paul A. Wood of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the graveside in Evergreen Burial Park 10:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Denver Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
