CHURCH OFFICIAL PLANS TO RETIRE IN OCTOBER

The Rev. J. Marshall Walker, director of missions for the Highlands and East River Associations of Southern Baptist congregations, will retire Oct. 31.

Walker, 73, has been in the coordinating job for 17 years with his office in Dublin. A search for his successor is under way.
