Mrs. Geraldine Peake Nunnery, age 78, of 1808 East River Avenue, Bluefield, formerly of Welch, died Saturday at a Roanoke, Va. hospital. Born May 18, 1912, in Panther, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Eli and Mae Goff Peake. She was a graduate of Ieager High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Huntington, W.Va. She served as a registered nurse at the Stevens Clinic Hospital in Welch for many years and retired from the St. Luke's Hospital in Bluefield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluefield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel W. Nunnery, Jr. She is survived by one son, Samuel W. Nunnery, III, Princeton, W.Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Ken (Fran) Stump, Vinton, Va.; one brother, William Goff Peake, Bluefield, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Will Nunnery and Justin Nunnery, both of Princeton; Kevin Stump and Christie Stump, both of Vinton, Va. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton with the Rev. Robert S. Shackleford, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
