Robert Wagner and actress Jill St. John were married Saturday in a private ceremony in the garden of Wagner's Pacific Palisades home.

Wagner, 60, and St. John, 49, have been together for eight years, said publicist Alan Nierob.

Wagner was married twice to the late actress Natalie Wood. On Nov. 29, 1981, Wood accidentally slipped from Wagner's 60-foot yacht Splendour and drowned off Santa Catalina Island, Calif., at age 43.

St. John, whose films include "Diamonds are Forever," was previously married and divorced three times.

Wagner, who has been in numerous films, starred in the TV series "Hart to Hart" from 1979-84.

Chevy Chase has come a long way since his pratfall days at "Saturday Night Live" - he's received an honorary degree from his alma mater and given a commencement address.

Chase, a 1968 graduate of Bard College, was honored Saturday at the 700-student college 90 miles north of New York City.

Chase recalled that he appeared in his first movie at Bard, "and believe it or not, it began with me pratfalling over a suitcase."
