RADFORD MAN DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT

A Radford man was killed Saturday night when he lost control of his car and skidded into oncoming traffic in Pulaski County.

Randy Scott Lyons, 23, was dead at the scene of the accident on Virginia 747 east of Dublin about 10:45 p.m., state police said.

Two passengers in Lyons' car, Jeffrey Wayne Norfold and Jerry Thomas Hopkins, both of Radford, were injured. They were treated and released from Radford Community Hospital.

The driver of the car that collided with Lyons' car, Stephen Wallen of Dublin, also suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Radford Community Hospital.

State police said Lyons lost control of his vehicle, veered off the right shoulder of the road, overcompensated and slid on wet pavement into Wallen's car. Lyons was not wearing a seat belt.
