OBIT THOMPSON, THOMAS T.

Thomas Thurman Thompson, age 70, died Sunday, May 27, 1990 in the Humana-St. Lukes Hospital in Blue Field, W. Va. A life long resident of Giles County, he was born in Glen Lyn, Va. on August 23, 1919 and was the son of the late Arthur Gordon and Dewie Holdren Thompson. He was a retired equipment operator at the Appalachian Power Company Plant in Glen Lyn, Va. He is survived by his wife, Justine Law Thompson, Glen Lyn; two sons, Mitchell A. Thompson, Pearisburg; Thomas R. Thompson, Hopewell, Va.; two daughters, Wanda Gale Thompson, Greensboro, N.C.; Tressia T. Lambert, Narrows; five brothers, Chuck Thompson, Richmond, Va.; John Thompson, Clarksville, Va.; Boyd Thompson, Baltimore, Md.; Robert Thompson; Flint, Mich.; Mac A. Thompson, Glen Lyn, two sisters, Iva Mae Wiley, Lovern, W.Va.; Sue Datson, Danville, Va.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, May 30, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Franklin Atkins and Rev. Howard Spencer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, Va. Friends may call at the Funeral home after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with the family receiving friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
