OBIT IRVIN, F.

Frances Wassum Irvin, age 77, formerly of Wytheville, died Sunday night in a Fairfax, Va. nursing home. She was the widow of the late Coach Roy L. Irvin. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles E. (Sandra) Shockley of Fairfax; one sister, Mrs. Robert Weavil of Scottsboro, Ala.; one granddaughter, Lesley Carr Shockley of Radford, Va. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Dr. Thomas Sproule with the interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00. The Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
