OBIT SHAFFER, E.

Evelyn Marsico Shaffer, age 82, of Roanoke, died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was the widow of Carl W. Shaffer. Mrs. Shaffer was a member of the American War Mothers and a long time member of East End Baptist Church. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. (Bob) and Margaret (Peggy) Shaffer, Roanoke; granddaughter, Sharon M. Shaffer, Roanoke; sisters, Louise M. Joynes, Bedford; Thelma M. Mullen, Roanoke; Elizabeth M. Scatchard, Birdsboro, Pa. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield, officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
