Thelma Sheets Sells, age 66, of Salem, died Tuesday, in a Harrisonburg hospital. She was the widow of Glenn E. Sells. Surviving are one son, Richard Kenneth Sells; two daughters, Jo Ann Twitty and Martha Sells Tharpe; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas Sheets, Lee Sheets, Jr., and Elmer Sheets; three sisters, Elizabeth Price, Mary Kindall and Maggie Wolfe. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Chapel, Salem followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Panorama Memorial Gardens, Front Royal, Va. John M. Oakey & son Funeral Home in Salem is handling arrangements.
