ETZLER, WILLIAM E.

William Eugene (Bill) Etzler, age 48, of Troutville, died Tuesday, May 29, 1990 at the V.A. Hospital in Salem. He was born on March 20, 1942 in Roanoke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin B. Etzler. Mr. Etzler was a former member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Troutville and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Surviving are two sons, William Eugene Etzler, Jr., Norfolk; Jeffrey Graham Etzler, San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Teresa A. Cusick, Mountain View, Calif.; his mother, Helen H. Etzler, Troutville; five brothers, Melvin B. Etzler, Jr., Roanoke; Elbert Barry Etzler, Troutville; Charles Blair Etzler, Sr., San Antonio, Texas; Beverly Bayard Etzler, Roanoke; Hugh Brander Etzler, Sr., Troutville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday from Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Paul W. Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
