BEDFORD MAN SAYS TEENS ATTACKED HIM

A Bedford man told police Tuesday that four teen-agers beat him with a brick on a Roanoke street.

George Ernest Lowery, 37, was treated at Community Hospital for head injuries. Police said Wednesday that he may lose sight in his left eye.

Lowery told police that four young men approached him in the 1500 block of Melrose Avenue Northwest about 8:40 p.m. and began to beat him.

Lowery told police that the attack apparently stemmed from a family dispute involving Lowery's former wife. An investigation is continuing.
