THEODORE ROOSEVELT'S GRANDSON, 72, DIES

Archibald Roosevelt Jr., a grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt and a retired CIA officer, died Thursday of congestive heart failure at his home. He was 72.

Roosevelt served as CIA station chief in Istanbul, Madrid and London before retiring from the agency in 1974. He then became vice president of the Chase Manhattan Bank, based in Washington.
