\ David A. "Pete" Prater, Jr., age 44, died Tuesday, May 29, 1990 from injuries he received from a plane crash. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth B. Prater, Bonita Springs, Fla.; one son, David Scott Prater, Roanoke; one daughter, Gidget Deleen Prater, Richmond; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Prater, Atkins; his father, David A. Prater, Sr., Middletown, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Jo Drake, St. Louis, Mo., two grandmothers, Mrs. Margie Greer, Saltville; Mrs. Bessie Prater, Marion. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the building fund at the First Baptist Church, Roanoke. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
