HIGH COURT REVERSES STAY OF EXECUTION

The U.S. Supreme Court voted early today to erase a ruling that would have blocked execution of convicted killer Thomas Baal.

Nevada prison officials scheduled the execution by injection for 7:05 a.m. today.

The court voted 5-4 just after midnight to overturn a stay granted Saturday by a U.S. Appeals Court at the request of Baal's parents and over Baal's objections.
