BLUE CROSS CHANGES GROUP INSURANCE

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia is dividing its $1.4 billion group insurance into three units as part of a major reorganization.

The three new business units will be major account business, regional group business and small group business.

"We're confident this restructure will result in improved customer service and a more mutually satisfying relationship between our group customers and our company," said Phyllis Marstiller, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Contracts with groups represent about two-thirds of the company's business, a spokesman said. - Associated Press
