\ Mr. Richard Sluss, age 98, of Beckley, W. Va., died Saturday, June 2, 1990, at the home of his son, Leonard Sluss, of Midlothian, Va. Mr. Sluss was a retired coal miner and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are one son, Leonard R. Sluss, Midlothian, Va.; granddaughter, Anita Kessler; great-granddaughter, Angela Gayle Kessler, both of Roanoke. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, W. Va., with Dr. Ellis Conley officiating. Burial will be in Calfee Cemetery, Mt. Tabor. Friends are calling from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
