\ Mrs. Arlene Frith Ray, age 43, of 1385 Brooke Drive, Rocky Mount, died Saturday, June 2, 1990, in a Roanoke hospital. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Doughton Frith. Surviving are her husband, David T. Ray, Rocky Mount; one daughter, Sharon D. Ray, and one son, Kevin A. Ray, both of the home; her father and stepmother, Garvice and Julia C. Frith, Rocky Mount; five brothers, Ervin W. Frith, Roanoke; Glenn C. Frith and Lynn G. Frith, both of Boones Mill; Terry L. Palmer and Tim R. Frith, both of Rocky Mount; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including a special cousin, Janie D. LeFever. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Henry D. Butler. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home of Rocky Mount.
