\ Mrs. Virginia St. Clair Freeman, age 84, widow of the Rev. Thomas Archibald Freeman, died Saturday, June 2, 1990, in Smyth County Community Hospital. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas A. Freeman, Jr., and David W. Freeman. During her adult life, Mrs. Freeman was noted for her civic and church leadership serving in different capacities in the Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Girl Scouts of America. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church and the Royal Oak Chapter of D.A.R. in Marion, Va. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Katherine F. Donahue, Boone, N.C.; one son, Isaac St. Clair Freeman, Marion; six grandchildren, Clair Freeman, Parker Freeman, Kattie Donahue, Schaap Freeman, Walker Freeman and Nelson Freeman; one son-in-law, Floyd Donahue, Boone, N.C.; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Carol P. Freeman, Yadkinville, N.C.; Mrs. Alice D. Freeman, Marion. Funeral services will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Cathcart officiating. Burial will follow Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Steele Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, Charlotte, N.C., with the Rev. Thomas F. Hudson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church Organ Fund. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church, Marion, Va. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements.
