\ Clyde Almarine Stephens, age 69, died Saturday, June 2, 1990, at his home. He was born August 31, 1920, at Eggleston, the son of the late William Robert and Georgia Anna Jackson Stephens. He drove a Giles County school bus for 27 years. He operated Stephens Garage almost 40 years and was a member of the Pembroke Lutheran Memorial Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rhoda Ellen Sadler Stephens; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Edwin Hutchison, Ripplemead; one son and daughter-in-law, C.W. and Irma Stephens, Pearisburg; one sister, Miss Dorothy Stephens, Pearisburg; three brothers, Paul L. Stephens, New Castle; Elmer L. Stephens, Hampton; Ralph Stephens, Eggleston; four grandchildren, Orlando Stephens, Richard Stephens, Alexia Stephens, William Robert (Stephen) Stephens. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at A. Vest and Sons Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. Visiting will be any time Monday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
