KEEN MOUNTAIN MAN KILLED IN AUTO WRECK

A 42-year-old man from Keen Mountain was killed Sunday evening when his car crossed into the opposite lane of a highway and struck an oncoming van.

Howard Eugene Oliver died from injuries he received in the 7:40 p.m. wreck on Virginia 638 near Grundy, police said.

Oliver apparently lost control of his car, ran off the right side of the road and then veered back across the road into the opposite lane where he struck one car and was then struck by another car, police said.

Drivers of the others cars were not seriously injured, police said.
