Nancy Nelms Bowman, age 82, of Roanoke, died Sunday, June 3, 1990 in a local hospital. Mrs. Bowman was an honor graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are husband, Dr. Moffett Halley Bowman; son, Dr. Robert Moffett Bowman, Littleton, Colo.; daughter, Nancy Bowman Urick, Sterling, Va.; grandsons, Charles William Urick, Jr. , John Bowman Urick, Christopher Hamilton Bowman, David Edward Urick, Todd Randall Bowman; and sister, Sylvia Hamilton Nelms, Roanoke; In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Lynchburg, Va. 24503 or a favorite charity. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakeys Roanoke Chapel with Dr. C. Steven Teague officiating. The family will receive friends at the home.
