RAPIST GETS LIFE TERMS FOR ABDUCTION OF CHILD

Convicted rapist Randall Breer was sentenced Monday to three life imprisonment terms for abducting and raping an 11-year-old Loudoun County girl last year.

Loudoun County Circuit Judge James Shamblin suspended a fourth life term during a sentencing hearing for Breer, 29, of Dale City, who was arrested in October.

Breer pleaded guilty in April to two counts of forcible sodomy. He also pleaded guilty to intent to defile and entered a plea in which he did not admit either guilt or innocence on a rape charge.

Prosecutors pushed for a plea agreement because they wanted to avoid putting the victim on the stand to testify, said prosecutor Eric Strom of the Loudoun County commonwealth's attorney's office. - Associated Press
