CORRECTIONS

The headline on Joe Murray's column in Sunday's Horizon section should have read: Ignore nursing homes now and live in grief later. Because of a copy editor's error, the headline that appeared was incorrect.

Because of a reporter's error, a story published Sunday reported that a Bedford man was shot and killed during an argument over a backhoe. There was no argument over a backhoe, authorities say.

An item in the This Week listings Monday and in Friday's Calendar in the Extra section gave an incorrect phone number for ticket information for Saturday's Picnic With the Pops concert. The Salem Civic Center is handling tickets for the show and can be reached at 375-3004.
