OBIT-SPRADLING, D.

\ Douglas W. Spradling, age 68, died of lung cancer June 3, 1990, at his home. He was born in Chistiansburg, Va. He moved to the Washington, D.C. metro area in 1940 and to Granbury, Texas, in August of 1989. He retired from the General Services Administration in December of 1982. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Ann Spradling; two daughters, Sharon Spradling, Greenbelt, Md.; and Donna Johnson, Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Cecil, Ralph, and Ted, and one sister, Mrs. Iris Groff, all of the Roanoke area. Funeral services will be conducted from the Peters Creek Church of the Brethren 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 1990, with the Rev. Paris E. Bain officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
