\ Ruth Williams Oakey, of Wilmington, N.C., and formerly of Roanoke, died June 4, 1990, at her home. She was the widow of O. D. Oakey, Jr., and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Marie Walthall of Wilmington, N.C.; stepson, Charles Moir Oakey, Roanoke; two grandsons, David G. Walthall and Lacy M. Walthall, III, both of Raleigh, N.C.; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Mark Radecke officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 810 Princess St., Wilmington, NC 28401. The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
