ROANOKE ORGANISTS SCHEDULE RECITALS

The Roanoke Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present "The King of Instruments," a series of Sunday afternoon recitals beginning June 17 at 3 p.m.

Area organists will demonstrate their instruments in informal 30-40 minute organ recitals on the following dates: June 17, Robert Chapman, First Presbyterian Church, 2101 S. Jefferson St.; June 24, Gary Lowe, Cave Spring Baptist Church, 4873 Brambleton Ave.; July 1, Marianne Sandborg, Second Presbyterian Church, 214 Mountain Ave.; July 8, Joe and Becky Kennedy, Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1810 Grayson Ave., N.W.; July 15, Stan Baker, St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 631 North Jefferson St.; July 22, Kaye McClure, First Baptist Church, 515 Third St.; July 29, Janice Humphrey, Calvary Baptist Church, 608 Campbell Ave.; Aug. 5, Jeff Hummel, First Christian Church, 344 Church Ave.; Aug. 12, Sally Goff, Grandin Court Baptist Church, 2660 Brambleton Ave.; Aug. 19, Jeryl Powell, St. John's Episcopal Church, Elm & Jefferson; Aug. 26, Verle Witmer, South Roanoke United Methodist Church, Jefferson & 24th; Sept. 2, Dr. Don Moe, Olin Recital Hall, Roanoke College, Salem.
