OBIT FLOYD, R.

Rosa Simpson Floyd, 45, died June 4, 1990, in a Charlottesville hospital. She was born in Rockbridge County. She was the daughter of David Simpson and the late Ruby Lawhorne Simpson. Surviving are her husband, Lyle H. Floyd; one daughter, Miss Charlene Floyd, Buena Vista; three sons, Daniel W. Floyd, Richard H. Floyd, and Timothy L. Floyd, all of Buena Vista; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Brown, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Brenda Ramsey, Buena Vista; two brothers, James Simpson and Gilford Simpson, both of Buena Vista; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Teague and the Rev. Larry Coleman. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
