Judy Carolyn Underwood King, age 45, of Rt. 2, Rural Retreat died Wednesday in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Frances Jackson Underwood. She is survived by her husband, William F. "Bill" King of Rt. 2, Rural Retreat; one daughter, Terri Millette King, of Rt. 2, Rural Retreat; one granddaughter, Brittany Millette King, of Rt. 2, Rural Retreat; her father, Alvin M. "Abb" Underwood of Ivanhoe; one sister, Martha Frances Gallimore of Wytheville; one brother, Ronnie L. Underwood of Wytheville; two half-sisters, Treva Sue Arnold, Karen J. Arnold, both of Rt. 3, Wytheville; one half-brother, Mack Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday or at the residence at any time. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
