COORS TO BUY STROH'S BREWERY IN MEMPHIS

Adolph Coors Brewing Co. has announced an agreement in principle to buy an existing Stroh's Brewery in Memphis, Tenn.

A spokeswoman said the purchase, to be completed July 3, should not significantly affect Coors' Shenandoah Valley bottling plant near Elkton. But she could not say whether it would change Coors' plans to expand the Elkton plant into a full-fledged brewery. - Associated Press
