Cavazos in the first major meeting of education and business leaders since the National Governors Association released in the new "Goals for Education."
THE SALEM HIGH SCHOOL newspaper staff recently received the results of the 1988-89 judging from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Three newspaper awards were presented to Virginia schools, and The Oracle received two of them. Christine Ventura, Pam Feazell, Lisa Hill and Nicole Balams received a second-place certificate for Single Subject Presentation. Katie Fanke and Balams received a certificate of merit for Page One Design. The Oracle was sponsored by Ray Moore. Hill served as editor-in-chief.
