Four new members of the National Track and Field Hall of Fame - including former North Carolina runner Jim Beatty, the first man to break the 4-minute mile indoors, and Charles Dumas, the first to high jump 7 feet - will be inducted Nov. 30 during the annual convention of The Athletics Congress. Also selected were cross country champion and coach Doris Brown Heritage and half-miler Rick Wohlhuter.
