COUNTRY CONCERT, MEMORIAL RUN AMONG RADIO FEATURES

LIVE: WKEX hosts the Ninth Annual Dr. D.B. Jurisson Memorial Run today from Christiansburg's town square, with coverage beginning at 8:30 a.m. The 5K race and one-mile fun run is in honor of Jurisson, a doctor and jogger killed 10 years ago by a hit-and-run driver. Call WKEX for details.

WPSK is backstage today at the June Jam in Fort Payne, Ala. with country greats Clint Black, Dolly Parton and Alabama.

WPUV salutes Radford High School graduates today through Tuesday and WKEX salutes graduates of Blacksburg High School today through Wednesday. Names will be read on air.

WPUV's "Banded Hub Hoedown," today from 1 to 3 p.m., includes the Cox Brothers.

WPSK airs "Beach Reports" three times daily Wednesday through Saturday, with tourist info and weather forecasts from beaches in the Southeastern U.S.

WKEX's "Focus on the Family," weekdays 9 a.m. and again at 6:05 p.m., presents "Harold Morris: Update From An Old Friend" Monday and Tuesday; "Pro-Life Search for Justice" Wednesday and Thursday; and "A Tribute to My Father" Friday.

"Country Crossroads" is simulcast over WRAD Sunday at 6:30 p.m. and on WKEX Saturday 8:30 a.m.. It features Larry Boone.

\ ROCK: WUVT features new music weekdays 9-noon and again from 3-9 p.m. "Night Art" follows with new music and jazz.

WUVT's Sunday programming includes "Captain Crunch & Kiddie Stuff," with music and stories, at 9 a.m. At 11 a.m. it's "Winds of Change," with folk rock. Then from 1-7 p.m. it's African, reggae and other world music followed by "Bug Radio," a special feature of World Beat music. At 10 p.m. it's "Live From the Knitting Factory," a concert series.

WVVV and WJJJ air "Flashback" from 9-11 a.m. The show features music recorded up to 1972.

On WVRU this week: "Golden Oldies" airs noon to 2 today. Sunday 3-4:30 p.m. it's "Atmospheres," with new age music. Weekdays at noon, "Lunch Box Concert" plays various hits. "Long Live Rock" Monday at 9 p.m. features Part III of a Led Zeppelin series, focusing on the group from 1975 to the present."Funny Farm," a comedy extravaganza, airs Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., and "Blues From the Red Rooster," which features contemporary and classic blues, airs Friday at 8 p.m.
