The 16 NATO foreign ministers ended a two-day meeting here with a call for further conventional and nuclear arms negotiations and declared themselves ready to contribute actively to building confidence and closer relations between all European countries.
The ministers also endorsed the Bush administration's nine-point formula for reassuring the Soviet Union on the thorny issue of NATO membership for a united Germany.
