SPILLMAN-WHITMIRE

Bonsack Baptist Church in Roanoke was the setting June 9 for the wedding of Anita Whitmire and Brian Andrew Spillman. The Rev. Ken Butterworth of Troutville officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Edward K. Whitmire of Salem and Lorraine H. Whitmire of Roanoke. Mary T. Hartman of Vinton is her grandmother. A graduate of William Fleming High School, she attended Virginia Western Community College and is employed by the Kroger Co. E.R. Spillman of Vinton and Gail Leffler of Roanoke are parents of the groom. Employed by the Roanoke Times & World-News, he graduated from William Byrd High School and earned a bachelor's degree at Radford University.

The bride was attended by her daughter, Tanya Turner of Roanoke. The groom's brother, Mike Spillman of Vinton, was best man. The couple will make their home in Roanoke.
