OBIT CLINGENPEEL, V.

Virginia B. Clingenpeel, age 72, of Roanoke died Saturday. She was a member of Mayflower Hills Baptist Church. She boarded 141 children over 26 years for the Children's Home Society of Virginia. Surviving are her husband, Earl Clingenpeel; children, Eleanor J. Shepheard, Connie C. Hutchens, and Glenn E. Clingenpeel, all of Roanoke; one sister, Ruby Stump, Eden, N.C.; five grandchildren, Mark Shepheard, Dwight Shepheard, Sonya Shepheard, Greg Hutchens, Kevin Hutchens; one great-granddaughter, Danielle Virginia Shepheard. Services will be from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Don Dyer will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
