Rev. Logan Samuel Cronk, age 85, of Roanoke County, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 9, 1990. He pastored several Baptist Churches in the valley before retiring from Mineral Springs Baptist Church in 1970. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ruth Bush Cronk; one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin E. and Patty Cronk, Roanoke County; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette C. and Vernon Body, Roanoke; one brother, George Cronk, Richmond; one sister, Annie C. Worley, Vinton; six grandchildren, Ray Morrison and wife, Debbie; Michael Morrison and wife, Rainy; Wanda Clower and husband, Paul; Lori Ashwell and husband, Richard; Daryl Cronk and Tracey Cronk; four great-grandchildren, Kristina Ashwell, Billy, Bobby and Kayleigh Morrison. Funeral services will be held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 12, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Howard Foster and the Rev. Mark Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
